Ed Monahan is a former 37-year public defender and was Kentucky public advocate, 2008-2017. He is a national public defense consultant and trainer. He is co-editor of the American Bar Association’s "Tell the Client's Story: Mitigation in Criminal and Death Penalty Cases" (May 2017) and past chair of the ABA Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division Council.
